I was very sorry to hear about Dennis. Dennis was a really sweet person. He had a great sense of humor and was very kind. I remember the first time I went to the Brentwood Mart, I was at Dennis’ house on Bristol and he said, Let’s ride our bikes to the Mart!” I asked, “What’s a Mart?”. And he said, “Follow me…”. That’s the point of Dennis. He was a leader. He was also a good athlete. I was very fast off the blocks as a sprinter and Dennis was the only kid I couldn’t catch! He and I built treeforts in his backyard and used to go over to Chris Lange’s to play. He was an original… He used to come up with the “word of the day” and it was a big secret until you were in on it. Dennis, you were a very important part of my childhood at the Dye School and I’ll always cherish your friendship…RIP my friend…
